Bullet in a Haystack

William Radkin is found dead by the sitting room window. Kingdom and Ward find that he was killed by a .22 bullet, fired from outside. Meanwhile, a known pickpocket is brought in and the contents of his pocket reveal a possible link with Radkin's death.

As Mrs Penton cashes a cheque, she sees three men putting on masks in the lobby. She notices one in particular, Eddie, donning a Dracula mask. But as she turns away, it's momentarily removed by another man. The bank is robbed, the men later caught and tried.

Sebastian Barrios, Ambassador of South American republic Guantala, resides in London with his wife Candida and son Manuel. Candida receives a telephone call from Manuel, announcing that he's been kidnapped. However, investigations reveal that it's more than just a political kidnapping.
