Still reeling from the formal complaint made to the DHS, Sonya quickly realises her history could possibly inflame the situation and in her stressed state of mind, contemplates the possibility of Nell being taken away from her. Toadie tries to reassure her, but Sonya’s beyond consoling and eventually works herself into a state where she’s tempted to drink alcohol.
