Nerves are on edge in the Square as Dan is released. Melanie tries to find out what is going on with Steve, but is unprepared for row it causes. Sharon asks Phil about Dan. Steve gets defensive when Melanie asks why he didn't attend the funeral. He also tells Melanie about his childhood and how his mother beat him.
